Privacy

This notice describes how information may be processed when you use this website: a static site that publishes documentation and download links for a public WHOIS/RDAP-derived dataset. It does not apply to third-party sites or services you reach by following outbound links.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to visitors who access pages served from this domain (for example, documentation, the in-browser lookup tool, and static assets). The operator of the site is the data controller for processing described below, to the extent such processing occurs.

2. Information the site does not intentionally collect

This site does not offer user accounts, comment forms, newsletters, or similar features. We do not ask you to register, and we do not use this site to collect names, email addresses, or postal addresses from visitors.

3. Dataset files and outbound links

Download locations and checksums are listed in the dataset manifest (meta.json). The full dataset is usually offered as a gzip-compressed tar archive (.tar.gz) containing one CSV file; full files may also be hosted on a separate origin or object storage. Retrieving those files is subject to that host’s terms and privacy practices.

The CSV and related materials contain public registration fields returned by registries and registrars at collection time. That content is offered for research and transparency; it is not a live WHOIS service and may omit or redact fields under registry policy.

4. Legal bases and regional rights

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar laws apply, we rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing the site, and—where required—consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising (typically managed through your browser or vendor tools).

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For rights requests relating to Google advertising data, Google provides mechanisms linked from its policies above.

5. Children’s privacy

The site is not directed at children under 16 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

6. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the site, ads, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do; continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised notice where permitted by law.
